Board & Bean

Booked for three hours… and could have stayed all night (and very nearly did) Lovely atmosphere and a great place to spend my birthday with my gorgeous wife. We both enjoyed it so much!! The games are amazing, the staff couldn’t be nicer and more helpful, the choice of drinks is also excellent. The games tables are brilliant, makes you feel fully part of the game play! Then you pay and the night gets better - we expected to pay so much more, so very happy all round. GO VISIT AND HAVE YOUR OWN AMAZING TIME IN A FANTASTIC PLACE! (Thanks all, see you very soon) R&Z

Wow I've never been anywhere like here! Food was yummy and reasonable priced, coffee was amazing! Staff are all welcoming and accommodating. We hadn't booked but that wasn't a problem. The atmosphere was incredible such a happy place, inside is stunning. There is so much choice and the tables are so cool. We was served pretty quickly and was lovely and warm. Very clean inside and also the toilet was stocked with hygiene products. Thank you, will definitely be back.

Love this place! They have lots of different fun boardgames to pick from. Great tables as well. The food and drinks are not too expensive as well, which makes it even better to just chill and have some fun.

We love board & bean so much that we’ve become members! The atmosphere is just lovely and chilled, I could spend all day here tbh! Excellent selection of games and the staff have really great recommendations! The food is excellent, especially the crunch wraps! Good selection of food and drink too! Bonus points for being dog friendly! Our friends who are avid board game cafe goers and have been to loads visited and said it’s one of the best there is!

Today we enjoyed a cocktail and a meal after work with our Daughters. They enjoyed the selection of games whilst we waited for our food. Food was impressive, and great value. Cocktails were a firm 10/10 the guy making them knows his stuff. This place is a hidden gem, even if you are not a big board gamer it’s a very nice place for a meal and drinks, with the added bonus of games to play whilst you wait for your meal. Well worth a visit

Our favourite place to come. Today I bought my son and we had the best time. The choice of games to play was crazy, the food was absolutely delicious, the cakes and coffee were yummy. Its a fantastic concept for a cafe & as a family its always a first choice ! The staff are really friendly and helpful too. Thankyou !

I would definitely recommend and will be visiting again I really loved the concept, the layout was really well done as was the atmosphere. The tables were also really well designed and convenient for playing whilst eating/drinking. The staff were all friendly and seemed to be managing well as it was constantly busy for our duration. It is really nice to see a business in Chesterfield that is popular amongst all ages, and I think this is something that the town has been needing! It was also lovely to see people engaging with one another rather than on their phones. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the food as the chips portion was a lot small than expected. The staff made us aware of a slight delay in our food which we were completely fine with since we were preoccupied with playing games anyway. I understand that it's early days though and can see that a lot of hard work has gone into the cafe so far

What a great find! A fantastic concept, with an overwhelming amount of board games to choose from, but most importantly, fantastic coffee! No more than 100m from the two Costa coffee branches across the road in the retail park. Board & Bean is a 'no brainer' when visit Chesterfield. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
